about

I have loved the music of Klaus Schulze from the day I heard "Body Love vol 2" until the last notes he ever recorded. His death, while not wholly unexpected, hit me hard. I wanted to give my personal reaction to our collective loss and do something in his memory that paid some sort of tribute to his last great, quiet phase of music. If you have heard Deus Arrakis, Silhouettes or the "Big In…" albums you will know what I was striving for.

I am not a believer in any religion so I cannot wish him well in an afterlife, but I am grateful to him for his long career of bringing joy to so many of us with his music.

I went through so many mixes of this track, with tireless and unstinting help by the Soviet Space Dog crew (ground and orbit) but in the end I cut it back from fifteen tracks to ten and shortened it by ten minutes and used my own mix, spurred on by the wisdom imparted by the Dogs. The Dogs remixes of the original stems are included as part of this rerelease.
